The following is an overview of stocks that I might have sold too soon. The list includes: Adobe, Microsoft, The Knot, IAC/InteractivCorp, Expedia, ValuClick, Digital River and WebEx. Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) Adobe is a stock I have bought and sold many times. Each time, I’ve made decent money, in the 20-40% range. Many, many more people hold a stock too long than the few who sell “too soon”. Leaving future appreciation on the table is not usually a result of selling “too soon”. When a time/return goal is met and one sells, it can not be “too soon”. When you buy or sell a stock in the U.S., you start a chain reaction that formerly took three days to complete. The SEC calls this “trade date plus three days settlement, " also known as "T+3
